• Nationally, over 50% of our lakes and streams are no longer clean enough to swim in.
• Urban runoff has grown to lead as one of the greatest polluter of our nations watersheds.
• Drastic changes need to be made before the health of our nations waters will improve.
• The future of sportfishing and of this nation will soon lie in the hands of today’s youth.
• We as parents and adults have the inexorable duty of preparing these children to take on these tasks. We must be adamant in our refusal to deviate from the challenges of this task.

As the Alaska Trout Fishing with Kids website grows through additional funding, it will be able to reach more deserving children and their families throughout the state of Alaska. As we unite and grow, we will hope to expand these principals throughout the entire Pacific Coast states and into the Yukon and British Columbia as well.
